Overview

Your task: Create a Low-Fidelity Prototype and Blueprints for your puzzle box to demonstrate mechanism, structure, and feasibility. Your submission must show the idea is imaginative and manufacturable. Reference the requirements as you work.

What to Do (4 Steps)

Create Initial Blueprints

Draw or draft clear diagrams (hand-drawn or CAD).
Label parts, mechanisms, and key dimensions.

Build a Low-Fidelity Prototype

Use simple materials (cardboard, foam, tape, quick 3D-printed mockups, etc.).
Prioritize function and mechanism over polish.

Document Your Work

Photograph your blueprints and prototype.
Optionally record a short video demo showing the mechanism.

Prepare Your Submission

Collect everything in a single shared folder (Google Drive or similar).
Keep files organized and easy to navigate.

What to Submit

A publicly shared Google folder (so anyone can view) containing:

Images of your blueprints
Images and/or a short video showcasing your low-fi prototype

Pro Tips

Use scale: add a ruler or known object in photos to convey size.
Call out moving parts and tolerances on the blueprint.
Test the mechanism multiple times; note any sticking points.
